Dr. Osborne is a board certified psychiatrist who has been in private practice in Chattanooga since 2007. He specializes in the treatment of adults with mood, anxiety, and alcohol use disorders. Dr. Osborne graduated from Loma Linda University with a Doctor of Medicine in May 2000. Subsequently, he completed his general psychiatry residency training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2004 and an addiction psychiatry fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 2005.
Dr. Osborne’s treatment approach combines pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy (counseling) to improve symptoms as well as help his patients make healthy lifestyle choices that are beneficial both mentally and physically. He enjoys working with motivated individuals in a collaborative manner that encourages autonomy and a team approach to clinical decision making. Dr. Osborne’s psychotherapy style combines elements of psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12-Step Facilitation (for individuals with addictive disorders).
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Osborne also performs consultation-liaison services at Parkridge Medical Center and inpatient psychiatric treatment at Parkridge Valley Adult and Senior Campus.
